Bake Sale

The Bake Sale at Waverly Farmer's Market was a success last weekend! We raised $275 dollars :)
Thanks to Mack's Apples for donating apples, to my mom, aunt Cindy and aunt Paula for baking goods! And thanks to my parents and cousins Sarah and Cassidy who drove all the way from New Hampshire to help me sell at 6:30am on Saturday morning!
It was a great fundraiser and a great weekend with family. My next fundraiser will be a March Madness bracket pool... so keep your eyes out!

Upcoming Bake Sale

Next Saturday, February 21st I will be selling baked goods at Waverly Farmer's Market in Baltimore MD. My parents, and two of my cousins are coming to help which should be great! I'll be baking all week... but hopefully it'll bring in some good money. I'll also be putting out a bunch of my crafts, so feel free to stop by if you want to check them out.
Thanks in advance to those coming to help.

Leader position

I was officially offered the job of being a leader for the trip this week! I'm very excited for the opportunity. I am working with 3 other people to pull the trip together including determining our route, finding places for us to stay at night, finding local housing affiliates for us to volunteer at and looking for donations along the road. I think being part of this process and working with all the riders will make it much more rewarding, and bring an organizing aspect to the trip. And since my Master's degree is technically in social work organizing...
I was also permanently placed to a route, and it will be the Southern US Route. We will be traveling from Jacksonville Florida on June 10th and ending in San Francisco on August 17th. Check out the Bike and Build website then choose routes on the left, and scroll down to Southern US to see all the cities we go through along the way. Once we reach California I'm hoping to spend a few days with Doug and Kevin!!!
I'm starting to get a little worried about fundraising... I have some great ideas, it's just a matter of finding the time to put them into action. Keep your eyes out for things happening in the future.

Portside Tavern Fundraiser

Last weekend I had a fundraiser at Portside Tavern, a bar in Canton. The night was great, as lots of people stopped by to help the cause. I was able to raise $150 in one night! Thanks to those who came, and thanks to the Portside staff for all their efforts and willingness to do the fundraiser.
